“Spider veins" are small blood vessels that appear red or blue that commonly occur on the legs. The treatment for these spider veins is sclerotherapy. It is a safe, painless mixture of glycerin and lidocaine to inject into these tiny veins which obliterates these veins painlessly. There is about a 50% to 90% improvement in these veins over time. Some veins require repeated treatments at monthly intervals in order to achieve optimal results.
